The Christmas is here, and a lucky coincidence that sevent story of Sherlock Holmes, The Blue Carbuncle is also set in the Christmas. Commissionaire Peterson, found an old hat and a goose while coming back from his duty. The goose apparently was a Christmas Present. Waiting two days Holmes decided it's time to send the goose to its destiny. But, like a fairy tale, a valuable gem was found in the goose's stomach. A tragic story is associated with the gem and Holmes has to unveil the events.

The Blue Carbuncle is a Christmas story, and like all Christmas stories, its message is also of love, kindness and forgiveness!

'The man with the twisted lip' is the sixth story in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The story starts quite uncoventionally at Watson's home, where his wife's friend has come to seek help from Watson's wife. The nature of problem is such that Watson has to visit some notorious places of London to help finding her husband. Watson solves the woman's problem, but he finds his dear friend in the same notorius place trying to help some other woman to find her missing husband. Watson remains with Holmes and gets to witness a crime of the most original manner.

Master detective admits he need to be kicked in the butt for being such an idiot!!

The nice looking young man is petrified after he got five dried orange pips by post. While local police thinks the pips are nothing but a practical joke, Holmes thinks otherwise. Holmes may be the analytical genius of the world, but can he play against fate?

Miss Mary Sutherland lives with her mother and step-father. They, particularly her step-father, who is just 5 years old to her, is overtly protective of her mixing with other people. But, fate has it that she meets a clerk in a ball and falls in love with him. Everything goes well except that her groom vanishes on the wedding day on the way to Church. She turns up at 221 B, Baker Street asking for help. Holmes listens to her story but disappoints the grieved girl by telling that she should forget the man forever, as he is not going to return. Another failure of Sherlock Holmes? Yes, he failed in giving back Mary Sutherland her lover because he knew something more sinister was going on that even law can't put its hands on.
